Building Hyperflex was about making Elastic expertise accessible, impactful, and human.

CEO BK Bhate Honored  for Engineering Excellence

We’re pleased to share that BK Bhate, CEO of Hyperflex, has been named 2025 Elastic Certified Professional of the Year.

This award is one of Elastic’s highest honors—recognizing hands-on technical excellence, long-term impact, and a deep commitment to the Elastic engineering community. BK’s recognition reflects his direct involvement in delivering scalable, reliable, and production-grade Elastic implementations that drive results for engineering, observability, and platform teams.

“Elastic is for developers, engineers, and people who create solutions and products that make the world a better, more efficient place,” said Rick Laner, chief customer officer at Elastic. “BK has led high-impact Elastic implementations, and this recognition as the Elastic Excellence Awards Certified Professional of the Year underscores his leadership in technical innovation and commitment to Elastic community growth.”

In response, BK reflected on what the award means to him and the team at Hyperflex.

“I’ve always treated Elastic not as a product, but as a foundational part of how systems are built and operated,” said BK. “This award is a reflection of the engineers I’ve worked with—and the belief that simplicity, when done right, scales.”

Over the past four years, BK has led Hyperflex with an engineering-first philosophy. He has worked side by side with backend and SRE teams to fine-tune performance, reduce latency, optimize relevance, and build ingestion pipelines and search experiences that solve real-world problems. His approach emphasizes operational ownership, platform fit, and measurable outcomes.

In addition to implementation work, BK has driven the creation of new Elastic migration accelerators, including tools designed to help organizations move from platforms like Splunk with lower cost and faster time to value. These initiatives are part of Hyperflex’s broader mission to make Elastic more accessible, maintainable, and impactful across industries.

This recognition signals a shift in how Elastic is viewed—not just as a tool, but as infrastructure. Bharat’s leadership reflects that evolution, integrating Elastic alongside Prometheus, Kafka, Grafana, and key security systems across client environments.
